Life at Coppermaker Square: A Connected Community
As Coppermaker Square is rated the number one place to live in Stratford on Homeviews, we spoke with one resident about why she loves being part of this unique East London community.
Imaan moved to London from Cape Town in South Africa in March 2024, and immediately felt at home living at the premium rental apartments. “We have a nice community at Coppermaker Square,” she said. “If you want to knock on your neighbour’s door, everybody is super great. There’s always someone who can lend a helping hand.
“I feel very connected to a community here, I never feel like I’m alone. Coming to London from a different country can feel quite overwhelming to meet other people, so it’s always great to meet people at the residents’ events.”

The friendly onsite team organises regular residents’ events, designed to celebrate our culturally diverse community. For example, this year’s Lunar New Year saw a vibrant Chinese Lion Dance performance, accompanied by live traditional musicians, while residents marked Diwali with a specialist spice masterclass.
There really is something for everyone. Coming up, residents can take part in the ever-popular snooker tournament, or enjoy an interactive Traitors Live Game Experience, featuring professional actors and plenty of surprises to get residents working together and having fun.
Imaan also loves the exclusive amenities at Coppermaker Square, including the wellness suite and co-working spaces.

She said: “In particular I love the sauna, I pretty much use it every single day. It’s also really great that we have an indoor swimming pool and everything is heated, as well as a gym – so, on those days when you feel lazy there’s no excuse not to exercise.
“The co-working space has some private working booths if you need to take a phone call. Otherwise you can work with everybody together in quiet and peace. It’s just a really nice place to feel very productive.”
Imaan said she enjoys the convenience of living in Stratford, close to the open spaces of the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and a variety of shops and restaurants at the Westfield Stratford City Shopping Centre. It’s also well connected to the rest of the Capital, with Stratford station just one minute walk away.

And she isn’t the only one. Stratford was ranked the second-best place in the UK to visit in 2025 by Time Out. The London entertainment website highlighted the area’s booming cultural scene, with the recent opening of Sadler’s Wells East, a brand-new theatre for dance.
And coming to Stratford in May this year, V&A East Storehouse will house more than 1,000 archives from the museum’s collection, as well as the David Bowie Centre, featuring 80,000 objects related to the musical hero.
